02/16/07 – JDS signs new lease with the Triad Office Complex in Greenwood Village, CO.  The new Denver Tech Center offices will include over 11,000 square feet of office space.  JDS is planning on moving its headquarters to the new location in June of 2007.

 

12/16/06 – JDS announced that the Denver-based Fay CPA, PC has combined its practice with JDS Professional Group, one of Colorado’s most respected certified public accounting firms.  The new, combined firm will continue to operate under the banner JDS Professional Group and now serves more than 1,400 clients in Colorado, the surrounding region and nationally.  With the combination of these practices, the firm can now provide more expanded resources and services.

 

10/31/06 – JDS has completed the implementation of a paperless based audit system.  With the implementation of this system, most of the firm’s attest and audit function practice work is now a paperless based system which provides its audit professionals with an electronic based workpaper system.  The primary benefits of the system are audit efficiency, enhanced file sharing and file retention processes.

 

9/20/06 – JDS Professional Group has been engaged by two prominent, Denver Metro national non-profit organizations to serve as independent auditors and tax advisors.  The engagements further expand the scope off the JDS non-profit sector practice.

 

6/1/06 – JDS Professional group is developed a standard audit committee procedures and operational guidelines for non-profit groups.   The standard procedures include annual procedures and checklist for required or recommended audit committee processes.  The procedures are available for use by JDS clients and requests may be submitted by other non-profit groups.

 

11/1/05 – JDS Professional Group has been engaged as independent auditors for a Denver-metro based group of housing and governmental entities.  The engagement includes both audit and tax services.
